Fielders further back towards the grass and thusly further from the bases. Combine that with our inability to hold runners close to the bases with good pitchouts and deeper fielders and you could have your answer.]]></description>

What if our ability to turn double plays are low because our pitchers and catchers are just allowing runners to steal second too easily? It seems we never throw runners out, and you mentioned the 5% rate to back that up. If these runners are just talking second at will, they can&#039;t be doubled up.]]></description>
