I’d been a fan of the pick-up and have been rooting for Arrieta even before he came to the Cubs. That he’s achieved this kind of success with the Cubs only makes it sweeter. Great quote about mental clarity – I remember people questioning his mental toughness earlier in his career, I don’t think we’ll hear too much more about that. Striking out the side to finish a no-hitter is more than frosting on the cake, it’s an announcement of total dominance. And it was beautiful to watch. Thanks again for a great article.
