		<description><![CDATA[I mean, it&#039;s true that the Cubs are built around hitting and the Mets around pitching. What&#039;s less clear is what that means for (a) getting to the postseason and (b) succeeding once you&#039;re there. Real hard to tell, but I&#039;d bet on bats.

That said, whichever team wins the World Series will immediately get a series of stories about how &quot;that&#039;s the way to build a team&quot;. It&#039;s not. The key is to build a team that can get to the playoffs every year; winning, in the postseason, is a crapshoot.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Now that the Cubs are on the brink the teams detractors will be out in full force.  This morning I heard a good one.  So, the Mets are built around pitching and the Cubs foundation seems to be centered around hitting.  Is anyone aware of statistics that back that theory up?

I personally think that its a little bit of a fallacy.
