I kind of want him to go back to St. Louis, it just seems like a match made in heaven. As far as Carrasco goes, I believe someone has something coming on him (helpful, I know).

Leake would be the stabilizing factor (though I’d favor Lackey), and I think carrasco deserves a prospectus piece for himself. I’m absolutely enamoured with his ceiling. He isn’t always a bastion of control or pitching effiency, but he has the dynamic tools of a carlos zambrano. Of course he would come at a cost, but I’d like to start free agent talks with an ace in the hole and not feel like agents are leveraging our desperation for another pitcher against us. We need a guy like leake, but at what cost? After all, it’s not just about the money–it’s always about the money. I just hate the idea of an over-inflated pitching market and getting less value as the talent elevates.
