This comment does not denigrate this fine article, HOWEVER the Zambrano no-hitter reference must be challenged. Being thrilled by that completely bogus "achievement" was absurd, but very typical of a pollyanish Cubbies fan (Cubs fans are quite different from any other sports fans in this USA). That
no-hitter was an Astros HOME game that Houston was forced to travel to Milwaukee to play because of a storm calamity in Texas! All the Astro players were not only justifiably upset and disgruntled to have to fly up to Wisconsin to "host" that game, they were completely distracted by the palpable uncertainty of the safety of their families back in the flooded Texas metropolis, knowing that they should have been allowed to stay in Houston to care for their loved ones instead of playing a comparatively meaningless baseball game. There probably has never been another major league game in history in which one team had so little interest and commitment in competing. On top of that, the Brewers stadium was absolutely filled with only rabid Cubs fans who made the short trip up the Lake Michigan coast! Johann Santana's Met "one-hit" no-hitter was a hundered times more legitimate than that Zambrano farce.
