There’s not a great argument to be made for him over LaStella unless you think a better infield glove is more valuable to this roster than a decent OBP bat off the bench, but Maddon seems to value clubhouse chemistry more than most managers in the game, and that’s a bit of a wild card element. Look back at how much Herrera contributed to the team’s identity last season. I mean, the guy was responsible for the rally bucket! Kawasaki appears to already be a favorite in camp, as he’s been everywhere he’s played, and there’s something about that dynamic that I wouldn’t be surprised to see Maddon value in a 25th man.

Brewers for one should be interested.
