Pulled EXACTLY the same shenanigans last yr as well in rehab (0 EBH, sub-Mendoza BA, striking out like going outta style). When Soler returned last Sept, he OPS’d .900+ and set the world on fire in the Post.

This yr seemed a bizarre waltz between Cubs and Soler. Seemed Cubs were saying “show us something” and Soler was saying “get me up there and I will.” Thankfully, a perfect storm, if we can call it that: 2 H (both 1B’s) in his last rehab G, and a series in Oak with DH. Rest looks like, hopefully, history.

Shows Soler’s dichotomy: very talented box of rocks…I was down on what seemed a real bad primadonna attitude–til I saw what La Stella did.
