		<description><![CDATA[Several items here regarding pitching. Bottom line, if the Cubs offense gets shut down a playoff series will boil down to which team&#039;s run prevention is best. Over the course of the season the Cubs are #1 in that regard so the Cubs will always have a slight advantage. That said, in a low run scoring environment the 5-game series will be a little scary.

Re: 108 years of championship futility, as a result of the current playoff format, even &quot;favored&quot; the Cubs will have a less than 25 percent chance of winning it all. These days in order to win a WS you often need multiple bites at the apple (of course multiple championships would be great).]]></description>
