Always good to have a plan B, C, D, etc. I would imagine they’ll bring in a few reclamation project arms to compete for that fifth spot with Monty, Zastryzny and others.

He got his ring and we got through the regular season in no small part to his ability.

But Monty looked so good, I really didn’t think Hammel had a chance. It will be interesting to see how Theo/Jed approach offseason and I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see them move for a cost controlled young arm – giving up some serious farm assets – especially with the prospect of Jake being gone next year as well.
