Sports Science has established that the body simply isn’t able to maintain the stress (torque in Tiger’s case and bone/ligament gforces in DRose’s) that these guys put on the body.

I wouldn’t gamble 3 years – much less 5 to 6 for a guy that lives and dies by 100+ power.

I always felt Chapman was a little too wild in a Marmol way to be effective for multiple years. He doesn’t seem to have any “professor” genes to change and frankly, Jensen would be far more effective (IMHO) if the Cubs were willing to open the treasury. Kenley at least never has a “9th inning only” preference it seems.
