		<description><![CDATA[I don&#039;t think Theo/Jed are going to gamble those kinds of $$ for an erratic SP - for the 5 or 6 years Boras/Jake say they want.

In reality Jake has only been &#039;exceptional&#039; the 2nd half of 2015, the first 2 months of 2016 and the past month.  I suppose there might be enough evidence of &#039;fixing&#039; his delivery if he closes out through the playoffs exceptionally - but then, why not go for a much more reliable Cueto instead?

And if Jake continues to show streaks of greatness combined with mediocrity - why sink dollars there?

If Boras would go for 3-4 years at a reasonable number I think there is a deal there but I think there are many other clubs who would outbid the Cubs quickly.
