		<description><![CDATA[I disagree with the basis of this article for a couple of reasons, but the biggest is along the lines of the BA (or OBP) vs OPS. Baez may not have a great contact rate, and his BA (and to a lesser extent OBP) reflect this. However, his OPS is a respectable .807 currently. That suggests he&#039;s more of a slugger than an on-base guy, and home runs can win games too.]]></description>

Most of the contact rates aren&#039;t that different from last year except for Bryant&#039;s (who&#039;s actually gone up), Baez (who&#039;s not going to get pitched in way that plays to his strengths like in the NL playoffs last year), and Almora (who hasn&#039;t really played that much). I&#039;m much more worried about how they&#039;ve been getting nailed by sequencing and the lack of production from Heyward.]]></description>
