Ultimately, there was one thing that really, really annoyed me this season, and that was his handling of the Russell case. It was completely obvious this was something he did not want to talk about at all. Why didn’t he just say “I did read it, but this is an open investigation with MLB and it is inappropriate for me to comment further on the situation”? That would have been a perfectly acceptable response.
