Not a lot of time left in the minor-league season, le’ts get right into it:

Gleyber Torres and Ian Happ had rough weeks at the plate, I wouldn’t worry too much about either player. Torres is 17 and this is his first full-season assignment. Similarly, Happ has had a long baseball season—he’s been basically playing since February. Some fatigue is to be expected here…I failed to mention this last update and that’s on me, Duane Underwood threw two innings at the AZL during a rehab assignment. He has the highest upside of the Cubs’ arms and he’s made a lot of progress when it comes to command over the past two years…Eloy Jimenez had a solid week at the plate. There’s big-time power potential here, but he still has work to do in order to tap into the potential…Baez should get a call up pretty soon here. Whether he gets it before September will be pretty telling…Christian Villanueva had himself a weekend, showing off some power with two home runs. The power will be capped because his bat-to-ball skills aren’t ideal…You might be wondering who the hell DJ Wilson is and why I included him despite a light week production-wise. Wilson was the Cubs’ fourth-round pick this year out of Canton, Ohio. He’s a short guy with surprising pop, premium bat speed, and a center-field profile—with the potential to be a special defender out there. Those guys don’t exactly grow on trees, so keep an eye on him.

What to watch for
To be honest outside of the usual suspects and DJ Wilson, I’d start watching the big-league club try and lock up a playoff spot.
